HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?
All consultations are 50 minute sessions, unless otherwise mutually agreed upon.
HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?
You can book an appointment by contacting me either via the website, email or WhatsApp. I will then guide you through the simple booking process.
DO YOU OFFER SLIDING SCALE RATES OR REDUCED RATES?
I do not offer either of these. For reduced rates, I recommend seeking the services of a Registered Counsellor. I am happy to provide trusted referrals - simply send me a mail.
CAN I CLAIM BACK FROM MEDICAL AID OR HEALTH INSURANCE?
I do not claim on my clients behalf. I solely run a cash practice. However, you are welcome to make use of the paid invoice to claim back. (Note: dependent on medical aid cover. It is advised to always check with your scheme to see if they cover therapeutic services)
WHAT WILL MY EXPERIENCE BE LIKE WHENÂ CONSULTING WITH A PSYCHOLOGIST?
If you have not seen a psychologist before, it might feel strange or nerve-wrecking. This is normal and okay and after the first session you may well feel quite relieved.
As a psychologist I am highly trained to work with you through your journey, to sit with you in the dark times and to work towards finding solutions that fit with you as a unique individual. Yes, it requires hard work and commitment and yes, I will challenge you at times and maybe assist you to think about things in different ways. This is a different process to talking to friend or mentor. Often talking to someone that is not involved in your life is both rewarding and relieving.
It is important to keep in mind that this is not a 'quick fix' and you will need to attend a few sessions to see and feel results. It is also important to keep in mind that regular and frequent consultation will most likely result in better and more consistent outcomes. It is difficult to work through struggles and achieve progress if the client misses sessions regularly or fluctuates in their commitment to the therapeutic process.

This is solely a cash practice.

Sessions are charged at the rates stipulated under "Services".

Sessions are 50 minutes long and the frequency will be decided upon by your psychologist and yourself.

Sessions are conducted solely online via Zoom.

I will send you the therapy consent form via email which would need to be completed before the first session.

I will send out a reminder before each session.

You will discuss a follow-up with me to make another booking.

Kindly note that sessions that are NOT cancelled prior to 24 hours will be fully charged for.
